What the City Clears in North York — and What It Doesn't

Doesn't the City of Toronto clear the snow in North York?
The City clears public sidewalks once accumulation reaches 2 cm, and it clears the windrow (the pile the street plow leaves at the end of your driveway) only on eligible collector and arterial roads when the pile is over 25 cm. When do your crews come after a snowfall?
We monitor the forecast and dispatch on the trigger depth in your contract (standard 5 cm, adjustable). On overnight storms crews head out early. Commercial routes run first, then residential routes in order — tell us when you leave for work and we'll route you accordingly.
Is walkway shovelling and salting included?
Walkway shovelling is. Every residential visit covers the driveway, front walkway, steps, and porch. Salting is not included in the base price: add our unlimited salting package from $60/month and we apply salt or ice melt to every cleared surface after each snowfall.
Do you offer seasonal contracts in North York?
Yes, and most clients choose them. One flat rate covers November through April with unlimited clearing whenever accumulation hits your trigger depth.
