Amberlea sits between Altona Forest on the west and the Pine Creek valley on the east, with the CN tracks to the south and the hydro corridor to the north. Whites Road is the main way in and out, and Finch Avenue and Strouds Lane cross it east to west. Most houses went up from the 1970s on, detached and semi-detached, with a few rowhouses and apartments at Finch and Whites.
