Landscaping in Clairlea
Landscaping in Clairlea, Scarborough
Clairlea is a postwar neighbourhood in southwest Scarborough, south of Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Birchmount Road. Bungalows, raised bungalows and split-levels are typical, and decades of growth have given a lot of streets large maples and spruces. Many yards have older concrete walkways and driveways that are overdue for replacement, and the lawns under the trees fight shade and compacted clay. Spring drainage can be slow because the ground is flat. We handle weekly lawn care, aeration, cleanups, garden beds, interlocking walkway and driveway replacements, and snow clearing on seasonal contracts.
About Clairlea
Clairlea is a Scarborough neighbourhood known for its spacious bungalows and wide, tree-lined streets. The area has seen steady reinvestment over the last decade, with a lot of older homes getting full landscape redesigns to match interior renovations. Large lots support backyard projects like multi-section patios, retaining walls, and tiered garden beds — projects that need real base prep, not just a cosmetic top layer.

Clairlea through the year
Test soil pH levels to ensure your lawn and garden have the right nutrients for the year.
Raise the mowing height during heat waves and water deeply rather than often to keep the lawn from going dormant.
Clean and store garden ornaments and furniture to protect them from winter damage.
Ensure gutters are clear of late-falling leaves to prevent ice damming and runoff issues.
